Role Overview:
The Project Manager will play a key role in supporting the Client’s growth, business objectives, and digital transformation initiatives. This position involves leading complex projects, aligning them with business goals, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The role requires working in a US shift (India-based) to effectively communicate and coordinate with stakeholders and project teams working across India & US timezones. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, risk mitigation, stakeholder communication, and Agile frameworks such as Scrum.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with leadership to drive the organization’s growth, continuous improvement, and strategic goals.
- Act as a liaison between business units and the Digital Transformation team to manage risk, streamline communication, and ensure the success of technology investments.
- Lead and manage complex projects from initiation to completion, ensuring project scope, budget, timeline, and deliverables are met.
- Develop detailed project plans and monitor progress using tools like Monday.com.
- Define project scope, deliverables, and roles and responsibilities, coordinating with stakeholders at various levels.
- Track and manage project risks, issues, dependencies, scope changes, and overall performance.
- Conduct risk management and escalate critical issues when necessary.
- Communicate project status, progress, risks, and resolutions to stakeholders, including internal and external clients, vendors, and partners.
- Facilitate project meetings, reviews, workshops, and presentations, ensuring actionable takeaways are documented.
- Coach stakeholders on defining activities necessary to achieve project outcomes and objectives.
- Foster a collaborative, innovative, and continuously improving project environment.
- Mentor junior project managers and team members in project management best practices.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, business leads, and third-party vendors.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to assess and manage resource allocation for IT and business projects.
- Evaluate project performance and recommend adjustments based on financial analysis to meet budgetary goals.
- Develop and maintain project documentation, including process maps, risk registers, and lessons learned.
- Deliver regular project performance reports to stakeholders.
- Assist Head of IT Program Management in advancing PMO maturity by implementing industry best practices.
- Support in defining and implementing the overall PMO strategy aligned with organizational goals.
- Lead the creation and evolution of project management frameworks that provide clear direction for all projects across the organization.
- Develop and enforce governance models that ensure all projects adhere to organizational standards, processes, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the implementation of comprehensive, end-to-end project management practices, ensuring alignment with project objectives, timelines, budgets, and outcomes.
- Continuously improve project management processes and methodologies to enhance project delivery, resource management, and team efficiency.
- Act as the key point of contact for senior executives and stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, risk assessments, and strategic insights.
- Lead, mentor, and build a high-performing PMO team. Ensure the team is equipped with the necessary tools, training, and resources to succeed.
- Develop and implement project tracking and reporting systems to monitor progress, identify issues, and ensure timely delivery.
- Oversee the allocation of resources across projects to ensure optimal utilization and alignment with business priorities.
- Monitor project budgets to ensure financial control and cost-effective delivery.
- Manage stakeholder engagement through surveys, data analysis, and reports to improve satisfaction and organizational performance.
- Contribute to establishing a knowledge repository with project documentation, best practices, and lessons learned.
- Assist in setting up and maintaining reporting mechanisms to track project progress, risks, and issues.
- Support the Program Manager in risk management and change management efforts across projects.
- Develop reusable project templates (e.g., project plans, status reports, risk registers) to enhance PMO efficiency.
- Measure PMO value by tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) such as efficiency gains and project success rates.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in IT project management
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, etc.).
- Experience using project management tools (e.g., Monday.com, Jira, MS Project).
- Proven experience in defining and implementing project management frameworks, governance models, and standardized methodologies.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire teams, influence stakeholders, and drive change across the organization.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with executives, managers, and teams.
- Ability to coach and mentor team members on project management best practices.
- Certification in project management PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent – required
- Demonstrated ability to handle complex, large-scale projects with multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to work in a US shift (India-based).
